Our team of landscape gardeners are here to help you invest in your Hassocks property, improving front and rear gardens on both aesthetic and practical levels. A few ways we achieve this include the installation of high quality driveways, and construction of patios and decking which can totally revolutionise how you use your garden. Working with a range of modern and traditional materials, we design the project to your precise specifications, ensuring you can realise your vision without compromise.
Below, we’ve looked to answer a handful of questions our landscape gardeners have recently received from clients and inquiring parties throughout the Hassocks area. They cover patios, driveways and decking, but are just a selection, and by no means exhaustive. So if you have a different query or wish to discuss a project you have in mind for us, why not give us a call on 01403 731 717 or 07594971 255?
It all depends on what you’re looking to prioritise. Want something simple and functional? Tarmac driveways are a perennial favorite, largely due to their affordable cost. Want to get creative on the design front? Block paving driveways we’ve built around Hassocks feature all sorts of interesting, unique patterns, combining different coloured pavers to great affect. For something rustic and charming consider gravel, which is also favored by security conscious homeowners due to the sound it makes underfoot deterring would-be intruders.
The main reason our landscape gardeners hear cited is that clients want to be able to get out in their garden more, to dine, entertain or simply unwind after a long day. This can be difficult to do if your garden isn’t built for it, especially after a period of inclement weather which makes sitting out on the grass a no-no. Patios create a space to furnish and use as you see fit. It’s a canvas that can just as easily host a game of cards on a summer day, as it can an evening meal on a gentle Hassocks springeve.
Landscape gardeners work with three different types of decking, each which brings something special to the table. Softwood decking is the cheapest option and also the quickest to install. However, it requires the most maintenance and can be subject to a change in colour and finish over time. Hardwood decking is popular amongst Hassocks clients for its long lifespan and impressive aesthetics; it is however the most expensive material. Then there’s composite decking, a synthetic mix of wood and plastic which, also fairly expensive compared with softwood decking, is easy to maintain, doesn’t change colour or stain, and is robust. You also have the option of decking tiles in addition to boards!
